Which drugs may interact with loratinib?

Special attention should be paid to interactions with other medications during treatment.

Potent CYP3A inducers (such as rifampin): can reduce drug concentration and lead to decreased efficacy; their combined use is absolutely prohibited.

Intermediate-acting CYP3A inducers (such as modafinil): may reduce efficacy, should be avoided as much as possible, and the dose of loratinib should be increased if necessary.

Potent CYP3A inhibitors (such as itraconazole and fluconazole): may increase drug concentration and cause adverse reactions, so they should be avoided when used together or the dosage should be reduced.

P-glycoprotein inhibitors (such as cyclosporine): may increase drug concentration, requiring caution when used in combination and close monitoring.

When other medications need to be used simultaneously, the treatment plan must be assessed and adjusted by a doctor; patients cannot decide on the method of medication on their own.

Usage and dosage

Loratinib is a drug specifically used to treat ALK-positive (meaning the patient's ALK gene has a specific mutation) locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. This type of lung cancer is a malignant tumor, requiring special attention to medication guidelines. This drug must be used under the guidance of a physician experienced in anti-tumor treatment. Before starting treatment, professional testing must confirm the presence of ALK-positive tumor tissue in the patient. If the tablets are found to be broken, cracked, or incomplete in any way, they should not be taken.
