Who should use loratinib with caution?

The following four groups of people are at higher risk when using this medication and need to exercise special caution:

Patients with moderate or severe liver dysfunction (i.e., total bilirubin levels exceeding 1.5 times the normal value);

Patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance rate calculated using a professional formula between 15-30 mL/min);

Adult men and women who wish to have children;

Pregnant women and breastfeeding women.

If the above-mentioned groups do require medication, doctors will strengthen monitoring and promptly address any potential adverse reactions.

Can loratinib be used in specific populations?

Medication regimens need to be specially adjusted for patients with different physical conditions:

Patients with moderate or severe liver dysfunction: There is currently no clear recommended dosage standard for these patients, and doctors need to determine the dosage based on the specific condition.

For patients with severe renal impairment: the usual daily dose of 100 mg needs to be adjusted to 75 mg daily.

Women trying to conceive: Non-hormonal contraceptive methods must be used during treatment and for 6 months after stopping medication.

For men trying to conceive: Male patients should ensure effective contraception during treatment and for 3 months after stopping medication.

Pregnant women: This drug may harm the fetus, and the necessity of its use needs to be strictly assessed.

Breastfeeding women: Breastfeeding is not allowed during treatment and for 7 days after stopping the medication.
