Serious Side Effects of Cabozantinib
If you experience any of the following adverse reactions while taking Cabozantinib, seek medical attention immediately:
1. Very common adverse reactions (≥10%)
Blurred vision; burning, numbness, tingling, or pain; confusion; constipation; dark urine; skin darkening; decreased urination; diarrhea; difficulty breathing or swallowing; dizziness; dry mouth; dry skin and hair; fainting; chills; hair loss; headache; hoarseness or husky voice; increased heart rate; lightheadedness; loss of appetite; mental depression; muscle cramps, twitching, and stiffness; nausea or vomiting; nervousness; pain in the chest, groin, or legs (especially calves); ringing in the ears; shortness of breath; skin redness, swelling, or pain; peeling of skin on hands and feet; sudden severe headache; rash or skin ulcers; unusually slow or fast heartbeat; slurred speech; stomach pain; sudden loss of coordination; sudden severe weakness or numbness in arms or legs; sunken eyes; thirst; unsteady gait or clumsiness; unusual tiredness or weakness; changes in vision; weakness in arms, hands, legs, or feet; weight gain; wrinkled skin; yellowing of eyes or skin (jaundice).
2. Common adverse reactions (1%-10%)
Bleeding gums; bloody, black, or tarry stools; coughing up blood; heartburn; heavy jaw sensation; increased menstrual flow or abnormal vaginal bleeding; indigestion; loose teeth; mood or mental changes; muscle spasms in hands, arms, feet, legs, or face; nosebleeds; numbness or tingling around the mouth, fingertips, or feet; pain, swelling, or numbness in the mouth or jaw; paralysis; prolonged bleeding from wounds; red or dark brown urine; seizures; severe abdominal pain, cramping, or burning; tremors; difficulty breathing; vomit that looks like coffee grounds, severe and persistent.
3. Rare adverse reactions (0.1%-1%)
Color vision disturbances; double vision; seeing halos around lights; night blindness; unusual brightness of light; tunnel vision (narrowed visual field).
4. Adverse reactions with unknown frequency
Cloudy or bloody urine; high blood pressure; swelling of the face, feet, or lower legs.
Other Side Effects of Cabozantinib
The following side effects of Cabozantinib usually do not require medical intervention. However, if they persist, become bothersome, or if you have any questions, please consult your doctor:
Hiccups; bleeding after bowel movements (blood in stool); altered sense of taste; change in hair color; decreased appetite; weight loss; difficulty with bowel movements; difficulty moving; fear; fatigue; loss of taste; muscle pain; joint pain; rash; sore throat; stomach upset, discomfort, or pain; swelling or inflammation of the mouth; uncomfortable swelling around the anus; voice changes.
