Alpelisib Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients is contraindicated.
Alpelisib Age Restrictions
1. Breast cancer indication: Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients under 18 years of age.
2. PROS indication: Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients under 2 years of age.
Alpelisib Storage
Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted between 15°C and 30°C (59°F to 86°F).
Alpelisib Monitoring
1. Monitor fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) at baseline and periodically during treatment.
2. Monitor for clinical symptoms of pneumonitis or changes in pulmonary imaging.
3. Monitor growth and development in pediatric patients.
Important Notes
1. If signs of hypersensitivity or severe skin reactions occur, contact your doctor immediately.
2. Monitor blood glucose regularly during treatment; if signs of hyperglycemia occur, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
3. If you experience breathing problems, contact your doctor.
4. Alpelisib may cause diarrhea, which can be severe in some cases. If diarrhea occurs, consult your doctor right away.
5. Alpelisib may cause harm to a developing fetus.
