Crizotinib may cause side effects that do not require medical intervention and may gradually disappear as the body adapts to the drug during treatment. More serious side effects may also occur, requiring immediate medical attention.

Common Side Effects
Digestive System: Excessive stomach acid or acid reflux, belching, heartburn, indigestion, stomach discomfort or nausea;
Nervous System and Musculoskeletal System: Back pain, arm or leg pain, muscle cramps or weakness, difficulty walking, unsteadiness or clumsiness, weakness in the arms, hands, legs, or feet, burning sensation, crawling sensation, itching, numbness, tingling, "pinching" or electric shock sensation;
Sensory and Metabolic: Altered taste, loss of taste, weight gain.
Rare Side Effects
Increased skin sensitivity to sunlight, skin redness or discoloration, sunburn.

Digestive System: Black, tarry stools; abdominal cramps or burning pain; constipation; diarrhea; difficulty swallowing; pain in the back of the throat or chest when swallowing; sore or burning throat; ulcers or white spots on the lips, tongue, or inside the mouth; vomiting; bloody or coffee-ground-like vomit;
Circulatory System: Chest pain, discomfort or tightness; irregular heartbeat; slow or irregular heartbeat; dizziness or fainting; recurrent fainting; rapid weight gain; abnormal bleeding or bruising; weakness in the arms, hands, legs, or feet;
Respiratory System: Cough; difficulty breathing; hoarseness; loss of voice Nasal congestion or runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, shortness of breath;
Nervous system: headache, neuralgia, body aches, increased sensitivity to pain or touch, weakness in arms, hands, legs, or feet;
Visual system: blurred or lost vision, abnormal color vision, double vision, halos around lights, photophobia, seeing flashes or sparks, narrowed visual field, night blindness;
General and other: swelling of the face, arms, hands, lower legs, or feet, chills, fever, ear fullness, loss of appetite, unusual fatigue or weakness, abnormal weight gain or loss, pale skin, back or side pain, painful or difficult urination, swelling.
Less common side effects:
Circulatory system: Blue discoloration of lips, nails, or skin; rapid heartbeat; irregular breathing (fast, slow, or shallow); swelling of feet or calves;
Digestive system: Clay-colored stools; black urine; dry mouth; nausea; abdominal pain or tenderness; itchy skin; rash; yellowing of eyes or skin;
Metabolic and endocrine system: Fruity breath; increased hunger; increased thirst; increased urination;
Nervous system: Anxiety; confusion; loss of consciousness;
General and other: Flushing, dry skin; sweating.
