Clinical Data on Overdose
In a phase III hepatocellular carcinoma trial, a patient who accidentally took 120 mg (6 times the recommended daily dose) experienced vomiting and renal injury, with renal tissue necrosis.
Two patients who took double the recommended dose had no adverse symptoms.
Other overdose cases involving 6–10 times the recommended daily dose mostly presented with known side effects of lenvatinib, while some patients had no abnormal reactions.
General Management
There is no specific antidote for lenvatinib overdose. If overdose is suspected:
Discontinue treatment immediately.
Seek urgent medical care at the emergency department.
Physicians will administer supportive care (e.g., intravenous fluids, dialysis) based on the patient’s clinical condition.
